SharePeek — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
SharePeek does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any data.
What it accesses
When you click the SharePeek toolbar icon, it reads the following from thecurrent tab only:
<meta>tags — Open Graph (og:*), Twitter Card (twitter:*), anddescription<title>,<link rel="canonical">, and the favicon link- The page URL and title
It uses these to render the share-card previews and the tag checklistinside the popup. It also loads the page'sog:image (if any) to show it in the preview and to check that the URL resolves — that request goes directly from your browser to that image's host, exactly as it would if the page itself displayed the image.
What it does not do
- No account, no login, no identifiers
- No analytics, telemetry, or error reporting
- No
host_permissions, no content scripts, no background service worker - No requests to SharePeek or EconomLabs servers
- No
storage— nothing is saved between sessions - Nothing is sent anywhere
The extension requests only activeTab (access to a tab after you click the icon) and scripting (to run the one function that reads the tags).
